Sesame Oil Chicken Rice - 麻油鸡腿饭

This rice cooker sesame oil chicken rice is simple, flavorful and satisfying. I like this dish for so many reasons and most of all it is easy to prepare. ~ Sesame Oil Chicken Rice 麻油鸡腿饭 ~

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup long grain rice
1 lap cheong, sliced about 0.3cm thick
2 tbsp chinese rice wine / shao hsing wine
8 cloves garlic, peeled
8 slices ginger, thinly sliced
Sesame Oils

Marinate for Chicken:
4 pc chicken drumstick
3 tbsp oyster sauce
Pepper


Methods:
1. Marinate the chicken drumstick with pepper and oyster sauce, set aside for 2 hours.
2. Heat sesame oil in a pan, stir fried ginger for about 3 min over LOW heat, add in the marinated chicken drumsticks and continue stir frying for 5 mins.
3. Add few more drops of sesame oils and pour the wine over the chicken drumstick between the stir frying, mixed well.
4. Take out the chicken drumsticks into a plate, leave the ginger inside the pan and add in washed rice, stir fry the rice with few more drops of sesame oils for 3 min.
5. Scoop out the rice and put into the rice cooker bowl then add garlic, lap cheong, and chicken drumsticks on top of the rice piece by piece.
6. Add in water to cover the rice and cook it for 30 min in the rice cooker.
7. Served while it is hot.
